Tiana: (708) 949-0667 Brittany: (773) 552-4691 The Francis Field Equine Association & Youth Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting equine programs, youth involvement, and community engagement at historic Francis Field in New Lenox. The field was generously donated by longtime township supervisor and community leader Fred Francis, a descendant of early settlers whose family farm became a place for youth activities and public gatherings. Now recognized as an Official Will County Landmark, Francis Field has served generations through horse shows, educational programs, community events, and agricultural activities. Today, the Equine Association continues that legacy by organizing horse shows, clinics, and equestrian programs that are open to the public and welcoming to both experienced riders and those simply looking for a fun community event. The Equine Association is currently leading fundraising efforts for vital improvements to the barn and equine facilities, including arena expansions, a ramp for special needs riders, structural repairs and many more upgrades that ensure safety, longevity, and the inclusion of the entire Will County equine community. In addition, the group is contributing to major enhancements to the main building at Francis Field, including a new roof, updated flooring, and an upgraded kitchen to better serve community events. Francis Field also hosts craft fairs, baked goods events, craft clinics, youth programs, and private rentals throughout the year, making it a true multi-use community gathering space. Community members are warmly invited to support these efforts at the Spring Fling Fundraiser on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy great food, kids' games, and an exciting variety of raffle prizes while helping preserve a treasured piece of local history. Tickets are available now, and donations of any size are greatly appreciated to support the Equine Association's programs and preservation initiatives. Students and volunteers are also encouraged to attend the Clean-Up Day on May 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., a wonderful opportunity to earn service hours and give back to the community.
