In fact, Putin even called and offered to stop the war in Ukraine if we would tell him. Well, maybe not that Putin. But there is a current customer of ours named Phillips that asked. Putin, Phillips, well not exactly the same name but both begin with a P. Well, Mr. Phillips didn't exactly ask who the new employees were but he did want to know what the current rate on our saving accounts are. (2.24%) Erik Schelling Anyway, the smiling face on the left is Mike Thiel. Mike is a 25 year veteran of Joliet area banking. He was born and raised in the area and never left. He graduated from Lewis where he received an MBA. Hes a member of all kinds of local boards and organizations. Mike is a community banker at heart. He worked for a number of years at a local bank that was started as a community bank. He loved it there. And he might still be there if it werent for the cataclysm (major disaster). But, it happened.
