About

Established in 1929, Woodlawn Memorial Park I in Joliet, Illinois is located across the street from Joliet Regional Airport, with Forest Preserve on the west and north sides. The grounds consist of 22 well-manicured areas including a swan pond, butterfly garden, two veterans sections, and culturally sensitive areas for Greek Orthodox and Serbian Orthodox burials. The solid bronze lamps throughout were specially made and designed for Woodlawn, and the newly restored bell tower is lit up at night and visible from Jefferson St. Woodlawn Memorial Park I offers traditional ground burials, private estates, and indoor and outdoor mausoleums with niches and singe, double, and tandem crypts.
