About
St. John the Baptist Parish is a lively bi-cultural Catholic parish founded in 1852 in the heart of Joliet, Illinois. Together, people of all ages pray, learn and grow as we work together to make the inner-city Joliet community a better place by serving the poor and standing up for the rights of immigrants. The parish is staffed by the Franciscan Friars of the Sacred Heart Province, whose postulants live and study at St. John's.
We invite you and your family to learn more and to become a part of our community as we live the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the modern world in the Franciscan tradition. All are welcome!
