Public Input Opportunity 2021 and Public Information Meeting for a study of Laraway Road at the Union Pacific Railroad in the City of Joliet Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) will host a public input opportunity and public information meeting as part of the ongoing Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study of Laraway Road between Brandon Road and Illinois Route 53, including the crossing of the Union Pacific Railroad. Topics include an overview of the project, the Purpose and Need, and Alternatives to Be Carried Forward. There will be a facilitated discussion during which you may get your questions specific to the Laraway Road PEL study answered, as well as an open comment period. All interested individuals and groups are invited to attend, ask questions, and submit comments on the project. Comments are welcome, and those received or postmarked by April 30 will become part of the public meeting record. The City of Joliet has not committed to additional studies or construction of this project. This PEL Study will help the City understand the cost and scope of the project, should the City choose to proceed.
