Ed Jarot is a partner at the Joliet West office of Castle Law. A native of the Plainfield/Joliet area, Ed received his Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Indiana State University, his law degree in 1996 from Loyola University Chicago, and his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.), with honors, from John Marshall Law School in 2001. Ed's practice concentrates in the areas of Tax, Estate, Wealth Preservation and Asset Protection Planning, and Business/Business Succession Planning, and he is a frequent speaker on these topics with the Illinois State Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and the National Business Institute. Ed is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Will County Bar Association, and the Estate Planning Council of Greater Joliet. Ed is a member of the Trusts & Estates Section Council of the Illinois State Bar Association, and is a member of the ISBA Assembly. Ed also has an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Ed has attained an AV Preeminent Rating in Trusts and Estates, Wills and Probate, and Aged and Aging, by the Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review, the highest rating for attorneys under the peer review system. Outside of his work, Ed is involved with many community groups, including the Rialto Square Theater Foundation.
